"My son was struggling in 6th grade with reading comprehension and organizing his thoughts in an essay format.  Lexie was able to help him by strengthening his weakest points, such as his vocabulary and the retelling of a story in a well-structured format.  She taught him to take unknown words with the same suffix and prefix families and group them together, therefore building his vocabulary.  The biggest change was in his reading comprehension.  Lexie taught our son to break down the stories into graphic organizers, allowing him to better understand the material.  Lexie was always patient and kind with him.  We saw our son gain confidence in his ability to become an independent student.
