Executive Functioning is a set of skills and behaviors that help us effectively and efficiently complete tasks and interact with others. Helpful executive functioning skills include planning and organizing, setting goals, managing time, problem-solving, flexible thinking, maintaining focus, controlling our emotions and our impulses, and monitoring our behavior. Many children diagnosed with attention disorders, Autism, and other learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, can struggle with executive functioning that negatively impacts their performance in school and ability to connect with peers. Our executive functioning coaches help individuals identify their strengths and areas of need and provide individualized strategies and tools to build confidence in their academics and relationships.
